SIXTY PLAYERS TEE IT UP AT WICKED STICK FOR FIRST
“LADIES ONLY” DAY MAY 28
June 1, 2005, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — More than
sixty women teed it up at Wicked Stick Golf Course
for the course’s first “Ladies Only”
day May 28, 2005. Only women were allowed on the course
throughout the morning tee block. Throughout the day,
the ladies were treated to 20% discounts on all pro
shop items. In addition, five Wicked Stick gift packs
were presented, along with certificates for services
at “Her Body & Soul” day spa. While
the event was not a tournament, every player was given
an opportunity to compete for prizes for closest to
the pin and longest drive.
The day began with a complimentary breakfast and free
range balls for the players to warm up. Each player
received a “goody” bag from Martin’s
PGA TOUR Superstore that included coupons for a free
swing analysis and club fitting services at Superstores
located in Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.
“We had a wonderful response to our first Ladies
Only day,” says Scott Taylor, Wicked Stick’s
head golf professional. “Everyone had a great
time, so it’s definitely something we want to
do again.”
Wicked Stick is an 18-hole championship courses designed
by PGA TOUR champion John Daly. Located in Myrtle
Beach, S. C., it is the only Daly-designed course.
The course is managed by Signature Golf Group of Surfside.
